Ramadan Kareem everyone!
Today is the first day of Ramadan and also the first day the Authorities have eased up on the “Sanitation Program”.
Citizens and residents are now able to go out in the streets, wearing masks, from 6am til 10pm without a permit.
The thing is, since it’s also the first day of Ramadan, cafes and restaurants can only serve dine-in customers after Iftar, when people are supposed to break their fast. This is usually during the sundown.
So, technically, I still cannot go out and work in a coffee shop during the day, but that’s fine. This is the first time I will be sitting in a coffee shop in 1 month, 16 days and 5 hours, but who’s really counting?
I have never been so excited in my life to go and sit in a coffee shop. Little pleasures, I know.
I can’t stay in this coffeee shop for long, as this is the first day of the authorities easing up on ‘dine in’ restrictions and the owner of the Cafe isn’t really sure how long he’s allowed to let a customer ‘sit’. I promised to just finish my doubleshot espresso and waffle and I’d be on my merry way (I didn’t say I wouldn’t complete this blogpost in between delectable bites tho!)
This is quite a momentous occasion, especially so as this is my iPad Pro’s first public outing since it arrived in my doorstep a month ago. I wish to celebrate it with a blogpost!

I also like this little coffee shop I’m at. The ambiance is nice and cozy, and it’s actually equipped for remote working, but due to restrictions, he’s halted this service for now. you can rest assured that as soon as the rules ease up more, I’ll be making a beeline for this place!
it’s relatively close to my apartment – about 10 minutes walking, and it is right beside a really nice (albeit pricey) supermarket. But hey, i put a premium on convenience, and i like supporting the local businesses. so there.
